Sorry to hear about your Queen. God save King Charles III.

Just a suggestion, maybe we should see how His Majesty does before taking a stance on the abolition of his office. Has his behavior as Prince of Wales been perfect? Hell no. But let's be fair and give the man a chance.

He certainly cannot be as vocal as he was as Prince of Wales/heir apparent. I was reading that King Charles as heir took public stances on this and that, to the annoyance of the late Queen. There was a particularly embarrassing episode where he took a stance on the Chinese occupation of Tibet; meanwhile, his mother was hosting a dinner for the visiting Chinese dignitaries. The Chinese were more than a little miffed and the Queen quite embarrassed (and very miffed, apparently).

So as long as he behaves, and keeps his mouth shut, for the most part, he will do all right.
