This will probably take 100 years to settle, IMO.

I say give Jerusalem to the Hindus.

Go with the Berlin model...

Israel and the Christian council agreed to the above, the Arab League of Nations and Palestinians rejected it. In fact the Muslim mullahs walked out saying they would never discuss any sharing of Jerusalem and we remain at that point. The problem is most people have no clue about the actual history of Jerusalem and how we are at the point we are now.

Most people think the issue started in 1949 when Israel was created.

This issue is far more complex then that. Today its used as one of many sub-topics symbolizing the rejection of ANY Jewish state in the Middle East not just calling the capital of Israel Jerusalem. If the Arab League and Palestinians recognized a Jewish state of Israel they would have also recognized a bilateral capital in Jerusalem which they were offered 3 times by Israel at the table and 3 times Arafat spat at it and that was long after the original rejections by the Muslim world.

At the pith and substance of this dispute is Sharia law and Muslim religion which believes that no JEW and no CHRISTIAN or any non Musim has a right to own land anywhere in the Middle East, only Muslims do. That is a basic sharia law principal no Muslim politician, mullah or government official will renounce and as such it fuels the conflict.

The stalemate of pretending to ignore the issue to placate the Arab world will not resolve the issue just continue to repress it. It must be brought to a head if there is any hope of moving passed this continuous denial of Christian an Jewish presence in Jerusalem.

In fact 90% of the land is right now in private church title. Israel pays rent per month for its government buildings built on Christian land in Jerusalem. The Palestinians deny any Christian land titles.

I say give Jerusalem to the Hindus.

They already have Vancouver. Most Jews however prefer Miami Beach however so the world needs to calm down.

You realize that would change nothing whatsoever, right? I mean, I know you meant this in a sarcastic or light-hearted way, but the Muslims at least acknowledge Jews are a legitimate religion. They spent centuries slaughtering Hindus until the British took over India.

Actually Sir J Islam does NOT consider Christianity or Islam legitimate religions  quite the opposite. The Koran and unfortunately to this day mainstream Islam beliefs define ALL  non Muslims as illegitimate in fact. Now in regards to how many they have slaughtered in histort let's just say their extremists and fundamentalists have  not discriminated against Hindus, Siekhs, Bhuddists, Zoroastrians Jews, Christians, Yazidi, Berber, Kurd, Bahaiis, on and on. They are equal opportunity when it comes to religious wars including sects of their own religion particularly the Amidyah.

That said sometimes some tongue and cheek is needed. Think about it. I say this as a Jew as well. I respect all religions but for phack's sake, taking religions literally is b.s. whoever does it. My religion did not teach me that I could not share land and live with Muslims. I can't if they want to wipe me out and do not define me as an equal. Its that simple.

More to the point Jerusalem is a matter between Israelis and Palestinians no one else.

Next I don't like anyone with a beard. They are up to no good. Castro, Marx, Jesus, Moses, Muhammed,  Marvin Gaye, that NDP leader, Prince Harry, all trouble.
