Chretien says he's innocent.  There's enough detail in here for me to believe him.

First of why would you believe anything that guy says?  He's the graftiest grifter that ever grifted a graft.  He's a thug and crook and a liar of historic proportions.

But really: who is on that list is irrelevant.

What is relevant is that we have a government that campaigned on "reducing inequality" and making the wealthy pay a fair share.  Clearly that was all talk.

We have a finance minister who is prepared to go to war on legal small business accounting loopholes, but when it comes to their rich friends, they're content to look at the Paradise Papers and say "we are satisfied that no laws were broken."

Why did the conversation shift from "closing loopholes to prevent two classes of taxpayer" to "we're satisfied that no laws were broken"?

They campaigned on "making the rich pay a fair share" and "fighting inequality". That was clearly just talk. They're liars.  Somebody needs to remind Trudeau of this every day in the Commons.

The Liberal MP in our region was just on the radio for an interview, and he said stuff like "it's complicated" and "we need to have a conversation going forward."
