Not quite....   1st dose doesn’t equal “vaccinated”...

Immunity is high with a single dose, so I'm willing to count it. The problem is, with a single dose, how long?

1% per month.  We should be done by 2028.  I kid, I kid.

A lot of talk now about being done around June rather than September.

A year of therapy did a lot. I actually 'broke up' with my therapist the other day. We're friends, but he's taken me where he can. I have never in my life, loved myself for who I am...until now.

The only way this will happen is if people can "seek" a vaccination.

I think the best avenue to get people vaccinated is to use the infrastructure created to test for COVID-19.

You can can get a COVID-19 test in a day, whether it be through a pharmacy or a testing centre. Those "Centres" should be re-purposed to give vaccines as well.

Canada has purchased 20M more doses from Pfizer. Canada will now have enough for 20M people around May.

1% of Canadians have been vaccinated with at least one dose. Slightly less than 8K people have received both doses.

Some disappointing news. Yesterday, they talked about up to 20M people being vaccinated by May - June, but today they're talking about 13M people. I'm not sure what's up with that.

Sounds like realism has set in...  and the fact that it would be pretty easy to tell if it was 13 or 20 million, so maybe someone decided that lying about it might not be the best path forward.

The fact that Canada will mostly be relying on the vaccine that is the most difficult to handle might also be playing into it.

I'm thinking that the 20M is contingent on the other 2 being approved.

{possible} 'game changer'! Johnson & Johnson single dose vaccine candidate... promising Phase 1&2 results just released; Phase 3 (45K participants) results expected by January month-end:

It's also worth noting that they said that they expect 'more than' 1M doses per week' in Q2 on average, which is substantially more than 10M doses.

Pfizer is cutting back on the amount of vaccine Canada is getting.  Should’ve hedged our bets with those Moderna doses rather than declining them.  Not good.

What does this mean for second doses that people need, given we’re not holding back doses for the 2nd shot?

The Moderna doses we declined weren't available until Q4. We took 20M other doses coming in Q3. This change from Pfizer allows global production to increase by 50% above current levels this year, so hopefully, it will mean more doses post February. Short term pain for long term gain.

Being cut by half....  that’s going to cost lives.  Hopefully they’re correct about an increase later onto make up for it.
