still waiting member wilber - still waiting!

who/what be your "Feds"... and when were your said "Feds" contacted?

It's the fed's job. Why do provinces have to tell the feds to do their job? The provinces have no power to make airlines provide this information. I'll just take it that Tam, the feds and you don't think providing this information is important enough to bother with it.

I was all good about telling COVIDIOTS to shaddap, let doctors do their work and stop listening to facebook and twitter for their news.  Now the doctors say to send my kids back to school and I'm starting to think facebook and twitter had a point.    ;D

JK of course... but seriously, I'm so not ready for bubbles of 60 families.  And no mandatory masking.

I wish they'd provide a choice for online/in person so that people who can afford to keep their kids home would.  It would be in the interest of public safety as well to have smaller class sizes.

My daughter in law teaches grade three and is dying to get back into the classroom but she has some reservations as well.

What 1st day of school in Georgia, USA looks like.

And the student who took the image?  They’re suspended.

COVID thrives on the same growing tsunami of human stupidity it's triggered - staying a couple steps ahead of that is the only course of action...millions and likely billions simply won't make it.

I think schools reopening is going to be a disaster.

I expect we'll be seeing a 2nd lockdown before too long.

The party crowd and other Covidiots are going to make that inevitable. Two thirds of new cases are U40 and the majority of them are U20.
If a young person ever gives me flack about climate change, I will now ask them why they weren't so passionate about preventing the spread of Covid.

I'm hoping masks will be mandated before that happens.

Schools reopening are tricky - parents have jobs, after all, and schools provide cheap daycare.  Kids, especially young kids, are not going to be very successful at wearing masks, especially if their parents think Covid is over-rated and masks the mark of a fascist society.  There really doesn't seem to be any good option.

I hope that over time, the virus will become less deadly and that if it affects mainly U40, there'll be fewer people in hospital.

As far as I know, there is nothing stopping individual school boards from mandating masks. As far as those who think of a mask as being a mark of a fascist society, WAAA, just wear a **** mask you babies, no one is demanding you give up a kidney.

What if it is a responsible young person who wore a mask, social distanced and washed their hands frequently?  Then will you believe climate change is an issue?

Of course it is an issue, but I will still ask them.

Guess British Columbians better stop patting themselves on the back and start paying attention.

I'm looking to home school my kid this year if school don't provide an alternative to in-class learning.  I'm not happy about it at all, but after seeing what happened to my GP, I can't risk ending up on a ventilator for several months.

I had kids late in life, I guess this is one of the issues, though I never had 'global pandemic killing older people' on my bingo card when I say TF with it, let's keep the baby.

Sadly, I've leaving my job too.   :'(

Difficult decisions for you, I'm sure.  Are you leaving your job regardless of the schooling situation?   Do you hope to pick up work to do at home?   I hope things quickly work out for you in the best possible way.
