I care about people dying of all things.  You're panic p*orn is ridiculous.  Opening up with mitigation, while protecting high risk people is the only option.  You're the classic covidiot.

The more you reopen, the more people die. So make up your mind.

Yes, but reopening with mitigation and social distancing is the only option.  You can't keep things closed until a vaccine.  There may never be a vaccine.  You people are brain dead.

Well I guess we'd rather be "brain dead" as you call it than Covid dead. There's a big difference.

  You people are brain dead.
You can get the numbers under control and then establish a contract tracing army first. It's amazing how contagious it is even in lockdown. Our numbers were zero in Manitoba but one trucker from Alberta came and gave it to 10 people in his workplace. If you're opening up with a high number of cases, I imagine it would spread like wildfire.

As if things weren't bad enough, now it turns out if you are suffering from Covid in Russia and need a ventilator, if the virus doesn't get you the ventilator bursting into flames might.

Moscow has begun investigating the safety of a Russian-made medical ventilator, some of which have been sent to the United States though not used, after six people died in hospital fires reported to involve two such machines.

Agreed. It's the lack of testing and then tracing that is where the gun seems to be being jumped, especially in the US where Trump seems to still try and ignore the experts as he longs for an upturn in the economy to help him toward reelection.

I see the far right/fairly retarded Fox news channel now thinks Dr. Fauci is a dictator for his attempts to caution people regarding reopening too fast during a pandemic. And what's scary is we know god damned well there are right wing idiots who eat this shyte.

Tucker Carlson: Dr. Fauci has not been elected to anything. He should not be dictator during this coronavirus crisis

You imagine wrong.  But it's ok, your obsessed with panic p*orn.  You live your life like a prisoner if you want.  The rest of us that understand the science will go about our lives with a bit extra precaution.  I feel sorry for people like you.

Dr. Fauci has one thing in mind, and that's his job, which is virus related.  It's not up to him to balance out policy between mitigation and reopening.  There will always be caution, even after a vaccine is produced.  Unless you're mindset is stay closed down until not even one person is at risk of dying.

I'm interested to hear the "whistleblower complaint" ousted Dr. Bright will deliver to congress tomorrow. I bet Trump will be stomping angrily around his office. Should be fun.

So let's see, we have Covid 19 which we know is a deadly virus. And then we have a doctor who is a virus expert, and then we have Donald Trump who is not really an expert at anything, let alone medicine. You prefer to take the advice of the latter rather than the former during this situation. OOOOKay, I'm just glad you don't live near me.

It's a deadly virus to some.  Here's a refresher of the science.  Please take the time to make yourself familiar with it.  It's a deadly virus to people that are high risk.  It's not nearly a deadly virus to most other people.  Stop the panic p*orn.

Death Rate:

Under 18 years old:  zero and (0 per 100,000 in the population)

18 to 45 years old:  0.01 percent (11 per 100,000 in the population)

75 and over:  0.80 percent (death rate is 80 times that of 18 to 45 years old)

Of all fatal cases in New York State:

Over 70 years of age: 2/3 of all deaths

Over 50 years of age: 95 percent

Underlying illness: 90 percent

Of 6,570 confirmed COVID-19 deaths fully investigated for underlying conditions to date:

6,520, or 99.2 percent, had an underlying illness.

Just make sure you put your mask on when you go out, especially as the second wave arrives come the fall.

And maybe stop depending on FOX faux so much for your news.
