I agree with your idea that profits are incompatible with public health. Glad to see you guys finally coming around. Let's nationalize all vaccine patents as a first step to a truly public health system.
Like I’ve already explained to you, if you eliminate the profit motive, you bring a screeching halt to research and development of new drugs and new treatments.  What we need is trustworthy health officials, that aren’t influenced by big pharma.

This is how a dog who took a single Econ 101 class would think. It’s completely divorced from reality.

They can be funded without profit as the incentive. You have already expressed how profit is incompatible with public health and your only solution is...you have no solution.

Basically all pharma r&d is government funded now, might as well cut out the middleman.

Looking at the local obituaries for the young people who the memes say are suddenly dying, since they aren't showing up in the actual statistics. They aren't showing up here either.

It's funny how no one ever checks to see if young people that "die suddenly" are vaxxed or not.
I think all reasonable people can agree that cheery-picking random people's sudden deaths to try to spread lies about a vaccine is shi tty behaviour even for someone as stupid as shady.

Same bullshit these scumbags have been pulling since before the pandemic:

How anti-vaxxers target grieving moms and turn them into crusaders against vaccines

Quote
Fifteen miles west of Minneapolis, a billboard looms over a field of tall grass beside Highway 55. The sign features a photo of Evee Clobes, a baby girl with sparkling eyes, flushed cheeks and an expression frozen in wonder. Next to her face are the words, "HEALTHY BABIES DON'T JUST DIE." The web address of a group opposed to mandatory vaccinations is at the bottom.

Since her death in March, Evee has served as a literal poster child for the anti-vaccination movement. Her face and chunky legs — adorned with Band-Aids from her shots — are featured on anti-vaccination websites and billboards. The story of her death is told at protests, read aloud at statehouses, and offered up by her mother and other activists as proof of the horror vaccines can bring.

Evee's story, as her mother Catelin Clobes tells it, is of a healthy 6-month-old who died 36 hours after a checkup where she got several vaccinations. Clobes and an army of online activists now say the vaccines caused Evee's death. That belief, and Clobes' willingness to make Evee part of a national media campaign, have turned the grieving mom into a rising star in the anti-vaccination world. Her Facebook posts draw hundreds of thousands of views, and multiple fundraisers set up by anti-vaccination activists on her behalf have raised tens of thousands of dollars. She has become a champion of other anti-vaccination parents around the country.

But there's a problem with the story at the heart of this crusade, and with Clobes' new role as an anti-vaccine heroine. Her local medical examiner has ruled that the evidence — collected in an autopsy and by first responders — shows Evee accidentally suffocated while co-sleeping with her mother.

The sh*tty behaviour over the past 3 years has come almost exclusively from Branch Covidians.  Or have you and you ilk forgotten how you destroyed small businesses, destroyed child development, destroyed children’s education, destroyed important rights like medical privacy and body autonomy, and destroyed science itself.  Go f**k yourselves.

You would have to be especially stupid to pretend a deadly new unknown contagious virus was something people should always just ignore.

Cue: "waaah...I never said that."

Not content with berating and assaulting service workers when they ask you to wear a mask and brain poisoning boomers with medical disinformation that ends up getting them killed, your side is blaming deaths by drug overdoses, suicide or f**king surfing accidents on the vaccine so please do us all a favour and take a flying leap feet first into a wood chipper.

Who said ignore it?  Ever heard of the great barrington declaration?  Health professionals, doctors, and scientists had differing opinions.  But people like you silenced them.  You really should be ashamed of yourselves.

Of course. That's your long discredited herd immunity strategy that would have cost countless lives. Even you stopped talking about herd immunity around the time of Omicron.

The Great Barrington Declaration was based on the idea of letting the virus rio through the healthy to achieve herd immunity. Except we know now that herd immunity for COVID is impossible. It also hinge don the nonsensical idea that you could easily separate the high risk from the rest of the population, which would have led to countless more deaths from the virus.

"Silenced" in this case meaning "did not obey".

Nonsense.  The declaration was based partly on herd immunity, but mainly focused on protecting high risk people, while allowing low risk people the ability to go about their lives, therefore not destroying all the things you and you ilk destroyed.   And 3 years later, with hindsight, you’re still arguing in favour of polices that we know failed.  Especially illogical vaccination strategy and vaccine passport nonsense.  Thankfully, you and your ilk f**ed things up so badly, nobody will trust you again.  It’s one of the reasons barely anyone has gotten the new bivalent booster.
