I'm surprised they haven't ripped off the technology, China has never been reluctant to steal intellectual property.
Chinese companies are working on mRNA vaccines. I guess it takes time to reverse engineer that stuff, develop your own version, then build the plants to manufacture it.

Apparently chinese broadcasts of the FIFA World Cup deliberately block out shots of the crowds, since they don't want to show their citizens that other countries are now gathering in large groups often without masks.
