Uh oh spaghetti O's:  https://www.ctvnews.ca/health/coronavirus/vaccination-no-shows-why-are-thousands-of-appointments-going-unfilled-1.5377278
This is not good but it was the first sentence Vaccinate and vaccinate quickly — those are public health orders across the country. that caught my eye. What public health order is CTV talking about? There is no such order in the context of vaccinations. There are merely recommendations just as there are towards travelling and many other things that contribute to the spread of COVID. Real actual orders, around masks and distancing mostly, are pretty few in number despite the endless use of the word orders. This is the sort of sloppy imprecise phrasing that leads to sloppy imprecise messaging that leads to sloppy imprecise interpretation and understanding.  It leaves doors wide open for anyone searching for a loophole to exploit or a reason to apply measures the way they see fit.

In real terms there are probably millions who now regard a mere recommendation as the arrival, not just the coming, of the Red Dawn.  Yes it really is becoming that FUBAR out there.  I think there's justification for lumping a lot of media reportage and punditry in with the mealy mouthed crap that politicians spew.  The public also bears responsibility for helping accelerate and inflate things beyond reason thru social media and millions of tongues wagging in every direction.

The Tower of Babel seems like a paradise of calm reasoned understanding in comparison.
