Responsibility for COVID's success is one of those things for which I think it's appropriate to blame a good part of it on its victims.  This virus struck in the middle of a global pandemic of stupidity that's been defended and encouraged to rage unchecked thru our species for a couple of decades now, at least.

If COVID want's to survive like any other self-respecting virus maybe it best evolve a little sympathy for its hosts lest it's success affixes to tightly to its spiky little head. Speaking of karma maybe we should adopt the same ethic towards our planet.

Trump and his supporters have knowingly lied about the virus and actively encouraged that stupidity. No sympathy for any of them. Not one iota.

Just as they have when it comes to climate change.
