I attended the peel region Mass vaccination site just over 2 weeks ago for dose number two. As a manager, I was stunned by how well things ran.. people by chiefly Young and apparently first generation canadians. It was wondrous.
That makes sense, to a point.
In my experience when you have a constant high volume of clients bearing down on you an office tends to get very efficient really quick, because if you don't it just gets out of control, people complain, huge lines form, and you have to serve everyone eventually anyways. If you don't have a high volume you don't have to rush, workers get slower and sloppy.
Canada’s cautious re-openings have really done Canadians a good service. And, no one can deny that our vaccine rollout, and uptake, is 2nd to none after what seemed like a shaky start.
I wonder how much is due to the Feds, due to the provinces, and/or simply due to Canadians being willing to get the vaccine.
So how do they verify the documents are real? Why are we doing this without co-ordinating it with the US?
Uploading relevant documents to ArriveCAN prior to arriving at the border is just one step in the screening process to ensure that all documents provided by travellers are valid.Border Service Officers are trained in examination techniques and use indicators, intelligence, and other information to determine a person’s admissibility to Canada as well as making a determination that travellers are being truthful and that their documents are authentic. As no global standard for vaccine documentation exists, some travellers may attempt to use fraudulent documentation when seeking entry to Canada. The CBSA will continue to work with domestic and international partners to detect and intercept such documents as early as possible in the travel continuum.
