Not faster than most western developed countries.  Our vaccinated rate per 100 people is average to below-average.

Rate means something different than what you seem to understand.

We’re currently vaccinating 5th fastest in the OECD and that is set to increase substantially. We have went from mid 60s in the world of to mid 30s in a matter of weeks in terms of ranking.

Oh come on.  If that was the case they would've just disputed and corrected Ford.  They wrote a lengthy thread about each province without any context about the doses arriving earlier than planned.

Why cause friction with the other provinces if it was all innocent?

They listed the number of vaccines delivered, number administered, and how to get vaccinated. Friction my ass.

there's a want for many to showcase Canada's "supposed" position in vaccinating the populace... a comparative position to other countries.
More to your point, this is utterly meaningless if you don't consider the massive geographical dispersion of Canada's population in comparison to other countries. We have logistical problems other states don't face. Comparing Canada to a nation with a vastly different climate, a much higher population density, and a much smaller land area is misleading at best.

As I said, average to below average, as your graph shows.

Yes, but what does that mean? You can always find an average. What's the dispersion and where does Canada fall within that?

If you're in a class of 20 and 18 people score 75%, one scores 50% and one scores 100%, then you would be average if you score 75% but it doesn't mean a whole hell of a lot, does it?

You need to contextualize these things. The vaccine rollout isn't a failure by any stretch of the imagination. A few weeks or even a couple months behind will be meaningless in the grand scheme.

The rate is the rate. You can come up with all kinds of reasons why that is the rate but it is what it is.

And most of those countries are a matter of days difference in terms of rollout, with Canada currently vaccinating faster than most.

The rate is the speed. In terms of speed, we're 4th in the OECD.

OK then, the ratio. That better?

Overall, most advanced countries are within 2 weeks of each other in terms of overall vaccinations.

That's immaterial, I'd say.

Really it is the only number that counts.
