He said let's all get along and make money let's not worry about totalitarianism just economics so everyone can be happy.  Our PM has a giant ****, Thatcher had bigger balls (though i'm no fan of Thatcher)

Trudeau was literally, by definition, kowtowing to them:

But putting my dislike of the man aside and putting on by analytical cap, Trudeau is scared of China, and he has reason to be.  China is far, far more powerful than Canada, we don't have the tools to check their moves.  This anti-CCP alliance has just begun, they're really just at the talking and agreeing point, there's no rules or tools or institutions in place.  Trudeau can't trust that he can depend our allies to back us yet, trust will come in time as we prove to each other we'll back each other.  The last time we helped the US vs China we arrested meng wanzhou and then they arrested the 2 Michael's and we're still screwed on that one.  Where was America?  Michael's are still in jail.

But you also don't build trust by talking like a limp noodle.  Trudeau just signaled "we're scared of China, we're going to keep kissing their butt, you can't trust us yet".  Give this time, I really hope this works.
