You seem to be the only member on this forum at times.  Just not very much going on here.  Withering on the vine ...

"I’d rather deliver pizzas in Quebec City than play hockey in Washington"

I would not blame him. The Washington Capitals of the 70s iced some of the worst NHL teams in the history of the league. Picard was chosen by Washington in the NHL and Quebec in the WHA. Ironically, Picard wound up playing for the Capitals after he was drafted. He also played for Quebec later on in his career.

I'm sure Picard was even more surprised when it was announced the Capitals would play the Nordiques in a cross-league pre-season exhibition match. A Quebec fan threw a pizza on the ice to greet Picard!

Through early morning fog, I see
Visions of the things to be
The pains that are withheld for me
I realize and I can see
That suicide is painless
It brings on many changes
And I can take or leave it if I please
The game of life is hard to play
I'm gonna lose it anyway
The losing card I'll someday lay
So this is all I have to say
Suicide is painless (suicide)
It brings on many changes (changes)
And I can take or leave it if I please
The sword of time will pierce our skins
It doesn't hurt when it begins
But as it works it's way on in
The pain grows stronger, watch it grin
Suicide is painless
It brings on many changes
And I can take or leave it if I please
A brave man once requested me
To answer questions that are key
"Is it to be or not to be?"
And I replied, "Oh, why ask me?"
Suicide is painless
It brings on many changes
And I can take or leave it if I please
And you can do the same thing if you please

Bill Evans did a great version of that song. It was an istrumental though without the lyrics (which Robert Altman got his 15 year old son to write with the instruction that it be the stupidest song ever. He reportedly finished them in five minutes).

Bill Evans, coincidentally, was really, really good at playing Bill Evans chords (i.e., "rootless voicings").
