Why doesn't CHAT work ?!?   :'(

Does anyone feel the need to bring this back?  I unsubscribed from it, but I'm willing to go with the higher end package if anyone would be interested in using chat.

I think it is GREAT for live events.  So today during the Trudeau news conference I felt it would have been fun to have it.

But I don't think we would really use it more than a few times a year.

I enjoyed the chat room at the other place because there was almost always someone in there. Here, nobody was ever in the chat room and I didn't care for the software at all.

I'd like chat if there were others who would be on at the same time I was.

I suggest we schedule meet-ups there for specific events.

We used to have chat - the problem was I had to pay for all of those services.  Right now, I've reverted to the free version of the forum software.

Here is a question/suggestion:

Is there any way to limit the size of images that are posted?

One poster in particular has basically resorted to posting memes, usually using very large images. (Guess they aren't smart enough to write things in their own words, or to reduce an image's size).

It would be nice if those images had a default size that didn't cause my browser to throw up.

Yes.  The poster can type in square brackets, rather than the curly ones:
{img width=400} image{/img}

But trolls will be trolls.  If you suggest it, Shady is more likely to enlarge them, than shrink them.

If it's on your topic and you don't like them, just delete them. If it isn't on your topic bring it to my attention and I might delete them. The fetus pic was pretty extreme and I had no problem deleting that one but in general I am loath to delete posts because they say a lot about the poster.

You might even be able to modify the post and therefore the image size via Squig's suggested tag change

However, on a separate note, I will try to choose the medium image size option going forward.
