Well, I'm banned. So I won't be returning.

Me neither. It seems to me the place has become a classic case of the patients have taken over the asylum. Between conspiracies, insults, and emoticons, the place has bogged down.

Or just put him on sabbatical?  I would be very surprised if he got rid of him.  He seemed very well protected.
I have serious doubts it is a "Turkish girl".  She's put almost everyone  on ignore, and has said a few times that she's not there to discuss anything - she's there to teach us.

Those two might be daunted if you could actually tell them how full of **** they are, but responding with even mild mockery gets you in trouble with the moderation, particularly with regard to the 'turkish' girl. Half the threads in the US section are started by either her or that idiot loonie of the far left who hates America and the West and who can't be told to shut the **** up. If I was moderating those two would be gone and the American troll would find every trolllish post deleted until he got more circumspect about dick waving (except when justified).

Who regularly and unthinkingly regurgitates the ridiculous propaganda from the Turkish government - which makes her neither smart nor a thinker.

Not to mention the wonky religious beliefs - women should be all covered up (except herself, judging by the profile pics), Jews should all be killed, Rah Rah Allah, plans for world domination, updated Ignore lists, top secret insider info on what the Turkish government and Turkish army is planning (no links, of course) etc etc

Judging by her consistent stance that she is not on the forum to learn anything, only to teach the rest of us horrible Westerners and the bugeoning Ignore list, it doesn't seem to me that it's still looking.

Nope. I told him for years the direction that the forum was taking and he didn’t listen then. Now that it’s a dumpster fire he wants to put it out. He had every chance to address the issues and didn’t.

As a first step among many, he needs to get rid of Charles as a moderator and he won’t. Charles is an anarchist with a soft spot for gadflies. That’s why he sees trolling as productive discussion. But he’s also a rabid conspiracy theorist, so he’s irrational. It’s this irrationality that makes him inconsistent with the application of the rules. He only sees what he wants to.

Kimmy, from the sounds of it, tried to make a difference and threw her hands up in exasperation because there’s no reasoning with someone like that.

You’re not allowed to delete your posts because they don’t belong to you. They’re the property of the forum. I fundamentally disagree with that.

I buy your assertion as to CA being a conspiracy theorist. It seemed I got in trouble with him when I challenged HE on his 9-11 nonsense. Birds of a feather perhaps?

I took a brief glance through the old homestead, got to the part where two alt-right morons and the Turkish twat were trying to devise a "final solution" for gay-people, and said "**** this ****."

If Greg is perplexed as to why people have left, maybe he should read some of the threads once in a while.
