Remembrance Day is not a military event, it is the day the country pays its respects to the people who sacrificed and died so the people of Victoria could have the right to elect donkeys to their city council. These people have no respect, they want Veterans Affairs to help pay for it. But hey, it’s Victoria, we should be used to it by now.

Veterans Affairs then.  That does make more sense.  Thanks.

So according to your logic the Canadian government should cover Canada costs and the provincial government should cover BC day costs and christian churches should cover costs of any christmas celebrations. It is nonsensical thinking. These events are put on because a significant number of taxpayers/residence of Victoria benefit from them and want them. That is the only criteria that matters when determining who should pay.

It makes total sense that Veterans Affairs cover Remembrance Day costs.
