I don't have a problem with celebrating, I just think painting crosswalks is stupid.
It's a pretty basic form of celebration. So you're ok if they put flags and banners up then ? Fair enough. The crosswalk think is likely a fad anyway. One collision + one lawsuit and it will quietly go away.
