Back at the other forum somebody started a thread called something like "Burn-outs a hate crime?"

Someone had done a burn-out, resulting in a rainbow crosswalk being defaced. The originator of the thread seemed amused by the idea that some people had assumed that this was an act of malice, rather than youthful exuberance.

It seems that many Western Canadian suffer from an overabundance of youthful exuberance.

Campbell River BC unveiled a rainbow crosswalk this week ahead of Pride weekend. It was vandalized within 35 minutes, and by the next day had been vandalized multiple times.

The one in Lethbridge was defaced by tire marks, and later somebody covered it with tar and manure.

So much youthful exuberance.

Mere coincidence, I'm sure.
