Hey quick question what about the people soiling their draws over the emergency act and laughing about Ford using the notwithstanding clause where do they fit on your spectrum of tyrants and hypocrites?

The same.

Personally I think only an insane person would draw an equivalence between the treatment of ding dongs terrorizing the nation’s capital and blocking important border crossings with workers seeking negotiations but then I’m not a centrist.

Using rare powers in instances it doesn't need to be used is the same thing.  The truckers broke the law and needed to be removed.  You don't need to use emergency powers to take away people's legal rights to give people parking tickets or arrest them for breaking the law.  The police never tried arresting any of them.

Exactly. Hence the need for the emergencies act.

Arbitration is a voluntary process both parties agree to in order for a 3rd party to settle a dispute.  Education workers have no right to force their employer into arbitration.
Education workers have a constitutionally protected right to fight for better working conditions. That's why he had to invoke the notwithstanding clause. Arbitration would resolve the dispute without having to go through a strike or take away their rights.

Police had the power and authority to arrest before the emergencies act.

Go f**k yourself with your constitutionally protected rights, when you advocated for trampling people’s rights for the last 2 years.

But they didn't.

They didn't need to invoke the notwithstanding clause in their vaccination initiative. Why is that? Asking for a friend.

But they did.  Police have the authority to arrest anyone they deem breaking the law.

Because court challenges take a long period of time.  They used the emergencies act for other right infringements, like freezing bank accounts without due process.

Or maybe enforce the laws on the books.   Ottawa police, OPP, or maybe RCMP can't do their jobs?

Sure.   I don't really agree with his use of the clause.

When did they start doing their jobs…  Immediately after the Emergencies Act was triggered.  So….  How long should the Feds have waited for the police to do their jobs?

The chief of the Ottawa Police resigned mid-crisis!
