Kimmy is right. The Liberals and Conservatives were the main parties in BC until the rise of Social Credit as the centre right party in the 50's during the Bennet years, with the NDP on the left. After the Vanderzalm conflict of interest scandal, Social Credit gradually died out with many former Socreds gravitating to the Liberals and it morphed into the the centre right party. In BC provincial politics, "Liberal" does not have the same meaning as the rest of Canada.
