I don't think that's her intention.  She's in this to build her brand.  Her mayoralty campaign has already attracted attention from far-right kooks and white nationalists all over the world.  Those people won't get her elected, but she's hoping they'll follow whatever venture she embarks on next.

So the good news is that Faith Goldy finished a distant 3rd, with just 3% of the vote. The bad news is that 25,000 people voted for her.  Is the glass half full or half empty?

On the news station Facebook pages the number of Goldy supporters has dropped to a fraction.  She's a vile POS.

The 14 words is a White Supremacist pledge to protect the 'white race'. 

And good old Conrad Black defended her and tried to yank John Tory into his corner:

So - when I post about her I do not call her a Nazi but a Nazi Sympathizer.

There's more than the '14 words' controversy but that's enough for me.

She's not irrelevant at all...  she was with the Rebel, a Conservative favourite media outlet until a year ago.  She's pretty mainstream among conservatives.

I hope she's irrelevant, but I'm concerned that people like her are becoming more normalized. Having the likes of Faith Goldy running around isn't good for anybody. It's especially not good for people who'd like to have a rational discussion about immigration levels or other topics that have become taboo because of extremists.

We haven't been able to have a rational discussion about immigration since before she was born. That is WHY she can get attention. Because she dares to say the kinds of things nobody else dares to say publicly, to question the tight-knit groupthink of our political and media elites. Yes, some of what she says is stupid. But as Douglas Murray has said often enough, if you shut down all conventional sources of discussion then you leave it to people on the fringes to step up. And that means anyone concerned can look only to them. Talk about things openly and deal with the issues and concerns of the people and she has no audience.
