Yes, but they lost the strong majority they previously held.

Looks like BC. Wonder how long it will take them to chose a speaker. If it is a Liberal, they will lose their majority. Or to be more accurate, they will be a minority. They will need a coalition anyway with the NDP or the independent school.

There's only 40 seats in the NFL legislature?

Are the Liberals getting more or less popular in Canada these days?

Provincially the Liberals have lost a lot of their previous power. Federally the latest prediction seems to be a Liberal minority next election.

In almost every opinion poll taken since late February, the Conservatives are leading the polls from 2-10 points depending on which opinion poll you are referring to.

Pick whichever poll turns your crank.

This is a more accurate site that combines multiple polls over time.

Newfoundland has a lower population than Wyoming (the smallest US state by population), and PEI has just over 1/4 of NFLD. Mind you Wyoming still has more representatives per capita than NFLD.

Population of Newfoundland has remained steady at about 520,000 people, the exact same amount the Province had in 1970.  In the same time frame, Alberta has increased its population from about 1,600,000 in 1970 to over 4,300,000 today.

For those interested, here is a link to Provincial populations, ending in the first quarter of 2019:

Ironically, I had heard that for a prolonged period of time, fathers who were behind in Child Support, would often arrive in the Atlantic provinces, since MEP could not take action against them.  I am fairly certain that has changed.
