The claim that the percentage of crime-guns that are domestically sourced has surged in the past couple of years. The claim that 50% of guns used in crimes in Toronto can be traced back to legal gun owners.
This big big fake fake lie circulated by the Toronto PD has been seized upon by politicians as a justification for a national ban on handguns. It has been circulated all over the place and has been accepted as fact. But it's just a big big fake fake lie. Obviously this was done to advance a political agenda.
I am all for "evidence-based decision making", provided that people stop trying to manufacture evidence.
