No, but we're definitely going to treat this shooting differently because it was done in a tourist area and the victims are white.
I still have no idea if the victims are white are not. If they are as you say, who cares? Why would that change anything?
It being in a more touristy area I think makes a bit more sensational media-wise because more people will naturally feel linked to the shooting, like they could have been a victim too. A gang shooting in a pocket only locals walk through still sucks but I see why people in their minds would see it differently, especially since gang violence has been common. I think the number of victims make it different also. 1 person killed and another injured would make it a much different story, it wouldn't be a "mass shooting", it would be more normalized in the media & in people's minds.
