Thread creator...so this is my responsibility. I didn't delete any of, because it's entertaining.

I agree! In this case a warning will suffice.
Hopefully that will work for everybody. I'm beginning to think that you've found a very good solution to the problem that arises on all forums eventually. It's working well as long as nobody tries to abuse the system.

Maybe - but I'll just say to you that generally, quality is far more valuable than quantity. Keep that in mind when posting.

I agree and I'll stand my post quality up against anybody else. Can you suggest somebody is doing better?

I'll suggest that Gorgeous is doing well, waldo does well with content although somewhat abrasive at times. and you're dong quite well most of the time. Kimmy too but I find the racism repugnant and that ruins if for me.

Some others too but it's easier to just mention the obvious offenders.

It's your forum for you to do with it what you like. As long as my efforts to make it a better place aren't unduly hampered, I'll be here for you.

Alberta leaving more than $675M in COVID aid unspent

Quote
The Tuesday report tracked whether the federal or provincial government picked up the tab for COVID-19 measures in 2020, showing there is more than $675 million in federal money still on the table for essential worker wage top-ups, job training in hard-hit sectors, rapid housing initiatives, long-term care supports, and help for early childhood educators.

If it ain't helping the rich get richer or it makes JT look good, Kenney ain't having it.

Treat Alberta like an anti-vaxxer then and get that money into hands that can use it.  I'd suggest Ottawa spend it, tout suite, on the vaccine production facility it should have ordered full steam ahead on yesterday.

Or just bypass the provincial government and send every Alberta taxpayer a cheque with Trudeau's smiling face on it.

I think Jason Kenney has established a new standard for "rock bottom" as far as competency goes. I don't know if there's a single thing he has done right as Premier.

Is there a single thing he did right as an MP or federal cabinet minister either? The guy is a dipshit, looking to line his pockets through his positions of power.

What do you mean, he helped develop the equalization formula he now rabidly opposes.  ;)

The thing I find fascinating about Kenney is, like Harper, he has no charm or charisma, but unlike his old boss, he doesn't possess even a veneer of competence. How this bumblefuck became one of the most successful politicians of our time is both an indictment of Alberta voters and the bench strength of the Tories.

After criticism, Premier Jason Kenney condemns racist elements at Edmonton torch rally

Quote
After two days of silence and criticism from other political leaders, Premier Jason Kenney on Monday condemned the racist elements and symbolism of a weekend torch rally at the Alberta legislature.

In a written statement sent at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Kenney acknowledged the source of the torch imagery used in posters promoting the event, and the affiliations of some people involved.

"I understand that publicity for this event incorporated an image apparently taken from the notorious 2017 Charlottesville torch rally, which was an explicitly white supremacist event," Kenney said in a statement issued through his press secretary.

"Prominent racists promoted Saturday's protest at the legislature, and individuals attended the event from known hate groups like the 'Soldiers of Odin' and 'Urban Infidels.' I condemn these voices of bigotry in the strongest possible terms."

In August he went on a rant on twitter right after some activists in Montreal toppled a statue of JAM but it took him two days to issue a statement on this.

Alberta passes a bill that will make rodeo the Province’s official sport.   LOL

Animal cruelty is a great sport...  What’s next?  tossing cats by their tails will be officially sanctioned in the province?

They passed this bill first instead of passing an anti-racism motion.

So I hear that the Lethbridge Police Department is basically a more corrupt version of Hazzard County PD.
