Alberta's new K-6 curriculum is getting
panned for its focus on religion and U.S. history among other things. Some of it seems to have been cribbed from
a company in Virginia while other pieces have been
lifted from Wikipedia. Oh and one oof its lessons includes teaching kids about big band music
through the music of Mart Kenney, who happens to be Jason's grandfather and who no one else has heard of.
If you need further evidence that this is really f**ked up, it's been endorsed by
the stupidest man alive.
As someone who is likely to be stuck in this craphole province for the forseeable future and has kid who is three years away from entering the school system, this really pisses me off.
