Alberta "Unite The Right"
« on: February 01, 2017, 10:53:39 pm »
I'm not overly enamored with the NDP or the job Rachel Notley is doing so far. However, I'm very glad that the Progressive Conservative regime met its long-overdue demise.  They needed a "time out".  They will be back, in one form or another.

What is the future of the PC/Wildrose Party in Alberta? Will they merge?  And if so, into what?

Will we see a socially-conservative Tea Party Lite type dealie?  Or will it be Alberta PC 2.0, the oil-patch puppet regime repackaged for a new run?

I don't find either option very appealing, to be honest.

I would imagine that rural Alberta is a lot like rural Manitoba and is in fact far more socially conservative than many in urban Canada would be comfortable with.  I think the outcome will really depend on how much of a say those people get.

I think a merger is in the cards with a few bones thrown the way of the social conservative base.  The fight will be whether Kenny or jean will lead and that will be a knife fight

Kenney doesn't look like he'd be much of a knife fighter....

I'd pay good money to see Kenney dressed up as white pants guy.
