I don't know... is this an argument against the nanny state ?

I can see having a computer program that rejects things like vulgarity... but rejecting SHETHICK on human rights ground ?

Dunno...

The “unclear or unreadable” plates are very clear.

ASSMAN, or A55MAN are not on the list of rejected plates.  2 proctologists in Ontario are happy.

I don't know why personalized plates are offered at all. It is just a way for government to make more money.

ICBC has some weird rules. Back before the Olympics I got the special plates for two of our vehicles. I sold one of the vehicles and kept the plates for nearly a year before I replaced the car and put those plates on a new vehicle. A couple of years ago, I wanted to change the renewal date on the other vehicle by renewing early but was told I would have to cancel and turn in the old plates before I could renew. Those plates had already been on the vehicle I traded in for this one. The only way I could change the date without surrendering the plates was to renew for six months instead of a year.

That was an awesome Seinfeld episode (which I assume is what you're referencing).
