member Shady - so outraged over the topical highlighting/trending of the U.S. Republican tactics to suppress the vote in the recent days Wisconsin primary.I agree with that assessment. Democrats have been trying to game the system for decades. They’ve also been pushing for non citizens to vote. A combination of that, along with the Democrat Chicago mantra of vote early vote often, would spell doom for Republicans. If Democrats had to rely on American born voters, they’d never win an election again, and they wouldn’t have won in 2012 and 2008.
member Shady, can you temper your outrage enough to suggest why the vote couldn't be delayed?

when you say, "American born voters"... do you plan to fully open the ShadyCurtain to further delineate, 'white American born voters'? ;D
I trust you're quite willing to share your Trump/Republican influenced positions in regards gerrymandering... you know, where U.S. Republicans have been (not just trying) but actually gaming the system for decades!
as for your blathering about, "Democrats pushing for non-citizens to vote": per Politifact: No, House Democrats did not vote to allow noncitizens to vote as part of HR 1 (https://www.politifact.com/factchecks/2019/mar/13/facebook-posts/no-house-democrats-did-vote-allow-noncitizens-vote/)
again, member Shady - facts matter on this board! ;D
Ah now we need to give shady a little break. He'll need some time to emerge from the influence he carries from, for instance, BC's BS from over yonder.
Also note that there's already a Trump thread.
Delete the offending posts.... you have the power.
I guess you hadn't heard that your buddy Trumpy lost the popular vote by roughly 3 million votes!. It's not the "ease of voting" that would hurt the GOP it would be termination of the completely outdated EC system that would bury them when the peoples voice could be clearly heard. How would mail in voting change the electoral college? Regardless I tend to agree with Andrew Cuomo on this.

A Maryland city voted Tuesday night to enfranchise noncitizens, the latest in a growing effort to expand immigrant voting rights.
With a tie-breaking vote from the mayor, the City Council in College Park approved the measure to allow undocumented immigrants, student visa holders and residents with green cards to vote in local elections, The Washington Post reports.

Bad news guys! Turns out the virus is racist!
so weaselly member Shady, so weaselly! Apparently... when you mention Democrats and Republicans, with emphasis on Democrats never winning again like in 2012 & 2008 (as in Obama/Biden in 2012, in 2008)... you weren't talking about U.S. national elections... you weren't talking nationally! ;DNo, I was talking nationally, if Democrats had their way. What does it tell you about a political party that never receives a majority of votes from domestic born voters anymore? How far has that party drifted? It’s sad to see.

The white supremacy is strong in this one.Nope. It’s racist to think that only white people are born in the United States. It’s also opposite of reality. But, it’s the classic deflection of “you’re racist” to distract from the actual issue. Yawn,

Why do you consider "domestic born" people superior?I don’t consider them superior. But I would suggest that they have different priorities. Priorities that voters feel aren’t being addressed. That’s why the majority don’t and haven’t voted for them in years.

Bad news guys! Turns out the virus is racist!
The virus is soooo racist. It kills blacks, hispanics, and natives at a higher rate than white people. It's a white supremacist virus probably designed by Trump.
Twitter is a waste of time. Why? Because most people's opinions are really stupid (besides mine). Twitter democratizes stupid.

After posting about banning guns, I am getting gun accessory ads! Haha! Karma hates us pinko commie anti-gun ****!
I used to visit an atheist blog all the time and I always got ads for Jesus-fish stickers.

I once bought a chocolate Jesus fish for easter in the southern USA. True story. It was delicious.
Real question - would you eat a chocolate swastika ? I don't know if I would.

Why not? It would have to be dark chocolate. I wouldn't buy one though.
Wouldn't it need to be white chocolate?
So we missed the most successful example of outrage culture: a handful of marginal members of the public, egged on by vested interests make an outrageous protest WITH GUNS and influence the conversation.
Trump called the protests'meaningful'.
You’ll have to be more specific.
The Michigan Crew is what I am talking about.
People protesting because the stores are closed, or possibly because the stores they own are closed.
The 3 classes are reflected thusly:
- The poor working class people who have to risk their lives because people want their Arby's
- The middle class people who can work from home but want to risk going to Arby's once a week or so
- The wealthy and above who own franchises, or stock in the consortium that owns the chain
When I look at Manitoba's infection rate that is practically zero and then just across the border at Minnesota as it rises and rises to now over 700 cases a day, I find it hard to take a rabid Trumper criticizing Trudeau's leadership seriously.Yes, because Manitoba has similar population density to Minnesota. Regardless I find it funny when a Trudeauer criticizes Trump for acting too late, when Trudeau acted even later.

North Dakota then, which doesn't even have a city and has less than half the population. Once community transmission is established, it's very hard to get rid of, and Trump was still calling it a hoax when there was already community transmission down there. That's why their shyteshow is the worst of all covid shyteshows on the planet. Trudeau can be commended for keeping the numbers down here given our large border and their total incompetence.

Nobody’s travelling there ever, let alone in January, February, and March, no offence. 🤣

Trump's response has been at many times stupid and all over the map, but the US isn't the worst COVID shyte show. France, UK, Italy, Spain etc all much worse: https://www.statista.com/statistics/1104709/coronavirus-deaths-worldwide-per-million-inhabitants/
People who hate Trump will just hate Trump. That's why people crapped on him for being a racist for early on banning travel from China, and then was a racist apparently for banning travel from the UK. He makes the wrong move, he's crapped on. He makes the right move, he's crapped on. That's "Outrage Culture".
No, it's simply appropriate condemnation. Not really. Not when local authorities, like in New York were responsible for disastrous polices like forcing long term care facilities to take in covid patients, and allowing subway systems to become virus spreading incubators that they waited until the end of April to finally clear out and clean. It’s just a coincidence that the next 3 most populace states, Texas, California and Florida did so much better. Hmmmm.

NY's deaths per million: 1,197

The rest of the US combined deaths per million population: 117.7
Hmmmmmm.
Nah, North Dakota is doing great. Btw, regarding Manitoba. Nobody’s travelling there ever, let alone in January, February, and March, no offence. 🤣North Dakota could be doing great but they are incapable of getting control of it. Their numbers are low enough that with sufficient contact tracing they could eradicate it like Manitoba has. Instead, they **** around and let it gradually (but exponentially) get worse.

The biggest outbreak was at a meat processing plant that would’ve been open anyways, even under a lockdown because it’s an essential service. I remember when covidiots were calling it a hot spot a few weeks ago. That never panned out. The mainstream media is very disappointed. Florida is doing great now too. The mainstream media is very disappointed. It’s like they and you want the virus to be worse than it is. What’s your political agenda? I don’t get it.

Sexy Trudeau painting causes uproar! I like the painting:
Not sure about the obvious bigotry and contempt towards submissive bottoms though. Seems kind of homophobic.
Sexy Trudeau painting
what's sexy to ConspiracyG? What do you, as you say, "like"?
Our politicians getting sodomized by aboriginals. It turns me on!
and the RCMP constable - him too... so sexy for you?
What can I say, I love sodomy!
It couldn’t have happened to a more deserving President.

Cushnie has admitted using drugs while he has been held in custody at the Edmonton Remand Centre. He has also admitted joining the Redd Alert gang.
"I was angry at the world so I joined," Cushnie told the Gladue report author. "I feel at home here cause I am on the gang unit with other gang members. I am used to this life now."
Cushnie's criminal record includes convictions on 31 charges. Nine were for violent offences.
"Mr. Cushnie demonstrated entrenched antisocial and misogynistic attitudes," psychologist Dr. Debra Jellicoe wrote in her report. "He views violence as a legitimate means to solve problems."
After conducting a battery of tests, Jellicoe concluded that without making significant changes to his lifestyle and substance abuse, Cushnie presents a very high risk to commit more crimes and poses a high risk to re-offend violently.
A new documentary series about the extraordinary story of South African Paralympic and Olympic sprinter Oscar Pistorius (...)
The Trials of Oscar Pistorius tells the story of the 'Blade Runner' - an international hero who inspired millions with his determination and dedication until Valentine's Day 2013, when he suddenly found himself at the center of a murder investigation.
We have removed the trail for The Trials of Oscar Pistorius that was posted on social media earlier today.
We regret that the original trail did not refer to Reeva Steenkamp directly.
We are aware of the upset it has caused, which was never the intention. We have removed the trail and it will be replaced by something more representative of the series, which examines in detail a number of complex issues connected to her murder.
This four-part documentary looks in detail at the life of Oscar Pistorius, the tragic murder of Reeva Steenkamp and the issue of gender-based violence in South Africa.
Imagine being the imbecile who wrote this:
It's the inspiring story of an international hero who shot a woman four times while she pleaded for her life behind a bathroom door!
He's an extraordinary man who murdered a young woman.
You know, one reason that "suddenly found himself at the center of a murder investigation" is that he murdered someone.
I think the reason this made my blood boil is that it makes it seem like the important thing to remember about Oscar Pistorius is that he could run really fast on his flipper thingies, and posits his murdering a 29 year old woman as sort of an unfortunate footnote to the story. It has a kind of "Well, aside from that, how did you find the play, Mrs Lincoln?" tonedeaf idiocy.
The BBC got seriously shat upon for this post, as well as for a trailer for the program which barely mentioned that he murdered a woman.
They replaced the promo with a short blurb that says:
Which is slightly better but still makes it sound like her murder was some tragic event that happened somewhere and some time during the Oscar Pistorius space-time continuum, as opposed to acknowledging that he murdered her. Why can't they mention that he murdered her? Does that take too much shine off the inspiring international hero?

Regardless, I tend to agree with Andrew Cuomo. Cuomo, on WAMC, says there are "downsides" to voting by mail: "It's a harder system to administer, and obviously it's a harder system to police writ large. People showing up, people actually showing ID, is still the easiest system to assure total integrity."
He had apparently been offered a spot at a halfway house here in town, the "Bridges to New Life Society".
