I always have loved those sugary American cereals. My current favourite is Quisp. I see that you can buy it online now $13 US with shipping:

I think I'll do it but I'll have to get Mrs. Hardner to get a Walmart account first. I don't want one.
I did score some other fave cereals on my US trip: Apple Jacks, which are a *little* hard to find, and Capn Crunch w/Crunchberries which aren't available in Canada. The Capn's pantheon of cartoons was created by Jay Ward - the Bullwinkle creator. I have watched hours of those cartoons and love them as much as the cereals.

I love them sugary cereals. I usually buy tons of chocolate bars and candy when I'm in the US, you always see them at the gas station etc. Hmm never thought about hitting up a grocery store though or grocery isle in Walmart etc and checking out the cereal. Good advice!
My fav cereal is probably....Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

If I am hungry before bedtime I eat Frosted Flakes (or whichever generic knock-off I bought.)
But for breakfast, I am all business. I find that most breakfast cereals leave me hungry after a couple of hours, and the only ones that hold me for longer are Shreddies (or whichever generic knock-off I bought) or granola. I had to quit eating granola on account of my colon told me to stop.

Generic Frosted Flakes ? You make me weep, girl. I have an empty box of Puerto Rican Frosted Flakes I picked up, and Tony the Tiger has THICK EYEBROWS !

Don't skimp on cereal. You only save a coupla bucks. Also most granola should be good for your colon, it's high on fibre.

I started finding that around noon each day my colon was telling me "please, not so much fibre."

Was this a shared continuity, like the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Like, did Cap'n Crunch, and Toucan Sam, and Tony the Tiger, and Count Chocula, and Lucky the Leprechaun, and the Trix rabbit, and all the rest, all exist in the same fictional setting, and they could interact with each other, and go on adventures and solve mysteries and stuff?
I think I would probably watch a movie based on this premise.
Also, why wouldn't they share their cereal with the rabbit? That always seemed grossly unfair and made me mad.

No it's like Marvel and DC. The Capn had cereals and the cereals had characters.
Like Smedley the elephant who was used to introduce Peanut Butter Crunch (delicious, hasn't changed since the 70s, had some in the states)
And the Crunchberry Beast to introduce Capn Crunch with Crunchberries. I think the Pirate (Jean LeFoote) also had a cereal. They started putting the cereals out in the 90s without new characters I think. Like Choco Berry and Oops ! which is a joke cereal where they put Crunchberries and no Crunch.
There were all kinds of characters in the commercials: Sea Dog, the dog, the kids who crewed the ship (the Guppy) and Sea Witch. I caught a sex reference in one of the sea witch cartoons after watching for a long time... actually maybe the 2nd or third time I viewed them. She's imagining herself with Capn Crunch, who she stalked, and the thought bubble shows him serving her the cereal in bed.
Did I mention my obsession on this topic ? Did I mention I acted in a Capn Crunch commercial and the product rep was creeped out by me ? My life...

So my memory on this is terrible as it turns out:
1. Not a sea witch, but just a generally undesirable woman named Magnolia Bulkhead
2. The sex part is in this (Crunch coming into her bedroom with a tray of himself) and this was colourized so it DID go to air !
3. Magnolia has a friend who is helping her "get" Crunch. His name is Otis. Is there something vaguely poly/mistress/slave happening here or am I overreaching ?
4. She is voiced by the great June Foray who just died.

I still eat it but I find Capn Crunch a bit TOO crunchy, seems to rip up my gums and leave them sore.
When I was in high school I was a cereal monster. I would eat 3-4 bowls at breakfast, 3-4 bowls when I came home from school before supper, and 3-4 bowls before I went to bed. Every day. For several years. I went through milk like a mofo.
A few years ago I went on a "cereal diet", where my eating habits remained exactly the same the only difference is I stopped eating cereal. I lost 5-10 pounds pretty fast LOL.
The secret to not get sick of cereal over the longterm is buy 2-3 different kinds at once and mix them together so you're always kinda eating different cereal.
Also, before of President's Choice Fruit Loops knock-off, they're filled with tons of food colouring & so your poop would be completely green. Still tastes yum though.
I miss the toys/prizes that came with cereals when I was a kid. :'(

Try out Krave. It's these crunchy shells filled with chocolate ganache. Now there's a candy cereal.

Tried it on a free trial. Not for me. I like crunchy cereal, maybe the reason I never bought into the monster cereal family and their black-hearted marshmallows.
