Wow. We didn't even have a thread called "Canadian Culture".
Let's hang our heads in shame, like an own-goal into an empty net.
But... let's find things that we think are Canadian and post them here.
This make me smile

Canadian culture...what is it? Let's define it. Is Canadian culture that culture which originated within Canada?

You started a topic about Canadian culture and your definition of it is so wishy-washy and subjective as to be completely useless.

I think part of Canadian culture is being a little bit restrained in our emotional reaction to nationalistic ideas. Our pride in and loyalty to Canada is deep, but not overt if that makes any sense.
Or maybe I'm just projecting. :)

I think Canadians, in general, are more reserved than say Americans. Maybe that has something to do with it. We also don't tend to boast as much, and are more polite and apologetic etc.

That's what I am talking aboot. :P

That we're not American has always been amongst our most defining characteristics. I don't see why this should belittle us in anyway. I'm actually kinda grateful we have such a graphic example of how not to behave in the world so close at hand. Maybe too close sometimes - the term social distancing.gives me a sense that ideological or political distancing is also a prudent choice.
