My daughter and her family farm on Sumas Prairie. They were cheering yesterday because all their employees made it in. Son in law spent most of the day on the front end loader plowing snow and hauling motorists out of the ditch. Abby PD was on Facebook today thanking farmers for rescuing stuck motorists on HWY 1. When these blizzards hit it is not unusual for some farmers along HWY 1 to wind up with 20 or so unexpected guests.
