I did!   Ordered it on 25th, received it a few days later via DHL.  Paid $35 CAD for shipping and that included duties!   Crazy fast and cheap shipping.

It’s a gorgeous watch!  Definitely very impressed with the looks of it.  Very beautiful.

It has the NH35 Seiko movement, which is pretty cheap...   not ultra accurate compared to many more expensive movements, but, for me, perfectly acceptable.  You get what you pay for...   apparently these are very robust though.

Does that NH35 movement hack?

If you like the look of NATOs, but want more adjustability and something that doesn’t look as bulky, I highly recommend these straps:

https://erikasoriginals.com/

They’re expensive though.  This watch blogger site lists a couple cheaper alternatives:
https://twobrokewatchsnobs.com/comparing-3-elastic-watch-straps-budget-choices-or-budget-be-damned/

I found my largest watch always moved around, regardless of which strap I had on there.  But this strap holds it really nicely and is infinitely adjustable.  Super comfortable.
I had seen that article before, and had thought about getting the Nick Mankey one to use with my new Fossil smart watch, but the lead time was forever. Instead I got this "James Bond" looking thing:
https://seals-watches.com/collections/wrist-watch-accessories/products/parachute-style-no-pass-elastic-watch-strap
It's a "no pass" design that doesn't block the heart rate sensor on my watch.  It seemed like a great idea. I'm not super wild about it, unfortunately. I find that the elastic holds the heart rate sensor just a little too tight against my wrist and for some reason that caused an irritation. It was hard to get adjusted properly. Too loose and it doesn't stay attached, too tight and it isn't comfortable.  I have mostly been wearing that watch with the steel bracelet.

Those watches look awesome.  I like the textured dial.  Seiko seems to be putting some really nice textures on some of their dials as well (see below).

I'm quite enchanted with those ones. I love the fishbowl effect of the domed bezel.

Speaking of texture, they also have these that come with a distressed finish. They're the "Wreck" series, appropriately enough.

They even put some grunge on the lume!

I posted the Spinnaker watches earlier in the thread. I won this one in an auction on Ebay:

It came with the red leather strap shown, plus a similar black one, plus another generic looking leather quick release strap, but for the time being I have it on this NATO strap:

I really like how they look together. The watch itself is beautiful. The curved crystal has this amazing fishbowl effect that gives an illusion of depth that photos can't do justice to. The case is quite thick, but the lugs drop down sharply rather than sticking straight out, so it feels smaller and fits my wrist better than I expected. It's just so pretty!

With the crown pulled out one notch, you can move the hour hand forward and minute hand stays same for crossing time zones.  However, a “true” GMT will do that forward and back.  This one only jumps forward.

When will I leave this time zone again??  Haha

That watch looks great!  Automatic movement too!  Going old skool...

I love watches with a 2nd crown that moves the bezel, whether it’s a dive bezel or 24hr GMT bezel.

Yours is similar to another Alpina that I’ve had my eye on.

So it always uses the outer 24 hr dial? What's the inner dial for?

The inner dial is a 24 hour dial which I presume you would set to your home time zone.

The regular dial you would set to local time wherever you are, which you can ‘jump’ as you cross time zones. Useless if you go to Newfoundland as they are on a half hour!  Haha

You can also set a 3rd time zone as the outer 24 hour ring moves using the top crown.

What’s that inner dial flush with the tip of the hour hand? The jump forward will only be useful when traveling east but novel

The inner dial holds the GMT hand; the arrow-head.  The pips are static and line up with the other hour/minute pips.

Ordered a Russian-made watch by Vostok, with an actual, 24-hour dial, not just a 12-hour dial with the little numbers on an inner track. Takes a bit of getting used to. Not bad for the price.
