How can we worry about the War on Christmas when there are children starving in Africa ?  Or kids without Christmas lights ?  Or a nation that is so rich that it needs to entertain itself with internal culture wars....

That Christian guy sounds like a bit of a jerk and a bully.  "I'll show you, I'll pick on that 80-year-old woman and it'll be your fault!"  I like Christmas lights and Christmassy stuff, and would definitely find it annoying if one of my neighbors held a five-day Christmas event involving thousands of guests.

I like the old days when people were **** just for the sake of being an ****. Now they do it so they can whine about how persecuted they are because everybody hates ****.

Cruel.  Imagine trying to sleep while your poxy neighbour's Christmas lights are flashing on and off outside your bedroom window.

If she needs help sharpening her scissors, I'd be happy to volunteer.

All of your xmas lights should be off by 11pm at the latest, and probably 10pm.  That goes triple if they're flashingly annoying.

Mine stay on all night because I feel like it. So do most of my neighbours' lights. None of them flash, though.

So you contribute to GW even when you're in bed! Have you no respect for the environment? Apparently not for your local one.

I don'e care, I don't live there. Tweaking the tweakables now and then is fun though.

Mine are also on timers, although they are not up yet this year. On near suppertime, and off just before bedtime.

Why would you turn them off?

I just don't have any.  I love not having any.  No bloody tree either.  We put a light on the fig tree if we feel particularly festive.
