Actually, and this is a 100% true story, I have a friend who is a vice principal and there's a student in her school who identifies as a cat (sometimes) and they let her go under her desk to meow.

I wish I were making that up.  I asked her why they let her do that, and apparently she has some complex mental issues.

Uh.... sounds like she doesn't belong in a regular classroom but if she has "mental issues" that's really something different.  If she isn't disruptive they might be better off in the classroom if everyone is ok with it.  Not normal tho.

I had a Little Golden biography of Churchill and another of JFK when I was a kid. I didn't realize I was being indoctrinated. I thought it was just educational.
