People don't have time to research news. They need to able to expect that the information they're being given is as close to the objective as can be. Hell, I don't know if you social media, but you can tell from comments that very few opinionated blowhards in the comments sections of news stories actually read the story. They'll read the headline, then flip their tops in the comments without reading the stories. Now we need people to be more vigilant about propaganda, but who's got the time? Very few people.
So we need to squelch the bullshit and the bullshitters. Do it in your own circle and they will bullshit less. I have done this and it WORKS.
