Travel dreams culture

What are your travel dreams?

I would love to buy a motorhome and travel across the entire US for a few years staying in whatever city I felt like for whatever amount of time I felt like before moving on to the next.  I kinda wish I did this when I was younger but I hadn't thought of the idea.  Working means I'd have to wait until I'm retired.

I also met a friend who bought this travel package where they spent a full year traveling the entire world and would spend several days in each city before moving on to the next.  That would be so cool.

A year after I retired we hauled a 5th wheel across Canada and back through the US. We were gone over four months. Great trip. Reality check on Signal Hill when you look at the signs which say you are over twice as far from Vancouver than you are from London England and have to drive all the way back. Big country we live in.

A couple things we’re planning….  None of it will be in the USA for a long time to come, if ever again.  We figure there’s too much of our own country we have yet to see.

North - Yukon, Northwest Territories. Driving holiday with our little trailer/rooftop tent.  I’ve never been to the Yukon.

East Coast.  Not sure of the logistics yet, but we want to see much more of the other coast than we have seen so far.

Talking to a friend about possibly going to Belgium for the F1 race next year.  Also talking to same friend about a trip to Tuktoyaktuk at some point.

It boggles the mind that Terry Fox ran across half the country on one leg.

I imagine something similar but with a boat. Anchoring or tying up downtown can spice up an adventure. Brings to mind the thread on attraction culture. Arrrgh have you ever been to sea? I mean most everyone's been on the road already and wanna come see my Winnebago just doesn't compare to....Arrgh, wanna come see my yacht?
