Why does BC get all these forest fires?  Don't they get a good amount of rain?  I can understand California since its much dryer and hotter, but I don't get BC.

How come BC has all these forest fires but most of the rest of the Boreal forest across the country doesn't have these crisis fires?

Help me understand nature.

Much of coast is rain forest but most the interior is quite dry and hot in summer. The area around Osoyoos in the southern Okanagan is the closest thing Canada has to a desert other than parts of the Arctic. Rattlesnakes and cactus etc.
