To paraphrase Luke Skywalker... if there's a bright shining center of the country, I'm in the city it's farthest from.
Both geographically and culturally, I'm a loooong way from Toronto. We don't have a Pride parade, but we do have rainbow-painted crosswalks at one intersection. I'll celebrate Pride by using the rainbow crosswalk as I walk downtown to enjoy some Happy Hour fun after work today.
