"If you still watch Alex Jones and think you're getting facts from this guy then there's something really wrong with you!"

The president of the united states watches Alex Jones and thinks he's getting facts....

Jones' schtick is unbeatable - it's the crazy conspiracy take on the day's events.

So compare and contrast...

Alex Jones and other politics conspiritards think he has special insight into the great conspiracies that are ruling the world... information that other media sources either don't have or won't share.

Gwyneth Paltrow and Jenny McCarthy and other health conspiritards think they have special insight into the mysteries of human health... information that the entire medical community either doesn't have or won't share.

How much difference is there between the two groups of conspiritards?  How much difference is there between their followers?

Its interesting that those with the special insight are usually ignorant in the area of their supposed insight.  Folks who misunderstand mathematics and physics think there must be some conspiracy to keep magnets on fridges and moons in orbit; Tall buildings should tip over and not fall straight down; Certain Lady politicians are not merely corrupt but child-molesting murderers in league with devils to run the world.
The ignorant never know the extent of their ignorance nor do they want to know.

Didn't one of the comedy politics shows reveal they are selling the same goop on their shows ?

The King of Conspiritards, Alex Jones, went completely unhinged in a rant about CNN reporter Brian Stelter. Words can't even describe it. It has to be seen:

I think there’s a big difference between believing alternative health products work when it hasn’t been proven and believing 9/11 was an inside job.  For one thing, Alex Jones makes a tonne of money off his BS.   I doubt Paltrow makes money from the coffee-butt-shooters.  She’s probably sincere in her beliefs.  If she does make money from selling butt-coffee, then I will likely change my opinion.

Haha!  Well then there’s not much difference!

It's important to note that the current state of media affairs is more natural to the US than the previous state was.

I really recommend this book, which I heard about from David Frum:

https://harpers.org/archive/1964/11/the-paranoid-style-in-american-politics/

Information chaos will eventually subside, for practical reasons, ie. it can't continue forever as you can't build consensus in a fractured and shattered public.  Newspapers eventually learned that they had to be objective to get a larger audience.  Groups will naturally form that way.  Also, leaders will eventually learn that there are more reasonable people in both groups that will support you than there are partisan people who will support your fringe views.

I was Jonesing over the holidays... bleagh....

https://www.cnn.com/2018/02/23/us/infowars-youtube-videos-trnd/index.html

Alex Jones is one step closer to being banned from YouTube.  It struck me that Glenn Beck used to be the bad-boy of idiot nutbars... I started wondering this AM what happened to him.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glenn_Beck

If you look for 2017 and 2018 there isn't much new with old Glenn.  It makes me think that these parasites need to be firmly attached to the host or they will die.  In other words, if they are cut off (as Glenn was when Fox fired him) then will eventually wither.

Can Alex Jones' bullshit survive on its own, as opposed to existing as a pervasive troll on mainstream channels ?
