More importantly, we showed those Russkies how to play hockey today.

Russians were ripped off of a 2-man advantage that would have given them a great chance to tie the game.  Non-call for delay of game.  The puck clearly went over the glass.

I hate it when games end like that.   The linesman called the penalty immediately...  I guess he was overruled.

I missed the last part of the game due to a phone call. I'll have a look at the re-run from where I stepped away.

Ok.  Some controversy at the very end with pass interference but... well good night Saints  :D

At first glance I thought it was a push-off, but after another look there was hand-fighting between the two players and I think the receiver was actually pulling his hand out of the defender's grasp, not pushing off.  Amazing throw and catch between Cousins and Thielen to put the Vikings in scoring position. I don't think the defender could have done anything to stop that.

I was hoping to see Brees go farther into the playoffs, but oh well.

Seahawks get the last spot in the second round, after beating the Eagles 17-9.  Josh McCown was retired and coaching high-school football earlier this year, but the Eagles signed him as as insurance after two of their backups were injured earlier in the year. He was thrust into this game when the Eagles' starting quarterback got knocked out by a helmet-to-helmet collision. The Seahawks had a bunch of injuries too. I didn't watch much of this one.

I base my defense with regard to what could clearly be defined as incidence of thread drift solely on an abundance of patriotism. I throw myself at the mercy of the courts/rinks.

Seahawks won!   Not the most exciting game I’ve ever seen, but good result.

I thought the Seahawks were favoured but according to the 538 odds.

3/4 Wildcard games were upsets ?

Only my fave Bills were expected to go down, and down then went in a graceful ballet of Buffaloness.

Pretty good Superb Owl game today.  It looked like the 49ers might manage to keep a lid on Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs, but with just 6 minutes left in the game everything came unraveled.   Mahomes is an amazing quarterback... even today when he looked very mortal for most of the game, he still managed to come through when it mattered most.

Bills win again... and it's Bills v Dolphins in the race to win the AFC east !  We are in a 'new era'.

I think I may be enough of a real football fan to pick out bad calls now... the LA Chargers... peeee-yooooo !

Also Broncos try to play without a QB... lose 31-3

Wonder how much Covid will influence the final standings

Could the Bills finally win a Super Bowl?

2-3 years out if all goes well and maybe a trade or two.  Ingredients are all there.
