Well, it turns out that Brett Favre is a colossal piece of turd.

Favre is by no means the center of the scandal-- about $77 million of Mississippi welfare funds were swiped, and lots of names are in the mix, including state GOP officials and the former GOP governor. But Favre received over a million dollars from the Mississippi welfare department for speeches that he never even gave. And another $5 million were redirected from helping poor people to building a new volleyball facility at Favre's alma-matter USM (where Favre's daughter, by some coincidence, happened to be playing volleyball at the time.)
