Had the 2012 Ursa Major Syrah tonight:  https://www.deserthills.ca/product/2012-Ursa-Major-Syrah

This comes from Desert Hill near Oliver, BC.

In fact, on Black Sage road just up and over from Silver Sage.

In a few weeks will be there in person and will be filling up with the good stuff.

As for the Syrah?

Excellent. High alcohol content is to be expected for a warm climate wine, but even at 14.7% it's fine. Maybe that's because it was paired with a prosciutto/cheese/olives/fruit dinner or maybe I drink too much brandy at 40% so no longer notice.  ;)
