The Crown

Anyone else watch this? I figured it would be more popular in Canada, what with the fact she's your titular head of state. But I like John Lithgow as Winston Churchill. Claire Foy makes a good Elizabeth...at least I think, but then again I don't know H.M. personally.

I'm aware the Queen doesn't really have any power at all, so some of the show seems to be about the politicians and political events in the UK and the world at the same time. Otherwise, there probably wouldn't be enough "stuff" to make a Netflix show out of.

Shocking the role of [former] King Edward VIII in world war two. Absolutely shocking.

strange, how we Americans seem to be more enthralled by monarchy than the peoples of various monarchies (commonwealth realms in particular) themselves.
