I’m always dismayed at how few people wear life jackets out on the water.  I boat a lot, professionally for work and for pleasure, and always wear a life jacket on my boats, or even in the canoe.

I wear a life jacket about 85% of the time when on the water, but on a warm summer day on a calm lake or river in the canoe* I just have to take it off.

*rarely am I in calm water in a kayak, but it has happened on the odd occasion.

Delta Dawn confused me. They said he was meeting her here today without identifying who “he” was. This led me to believe they were referring to a guy named Daizgon Bye who hands out faded roses.

Another band that was undermined by their own PR somewhat.

Truly great but they should have had 10 albums of solid stuff...

They don’t?  While I think they had maybe 2 stinkers, The rest of their stuff is “solid”.

EVH the most influential electric guitarist ever next to Hendrix.  Defined the sound of the rock guitar, especially lead/solos, for the next decade after their first album in 1978.

I never heard anything that great after Roth left, but maybe there was some.
