Derek Fowlds. A great actor and I loved him as Bernard Woolley on Yes [Prime] Minister.

Two great series. Bureaucracy at its finest

Terry Jones today as well.

A bad week for comedy.

The Pythons are only a few years older than me so I grew up with them. They were revolutionary. The Holy Grail and The Life of Brian are two of my favourite movies.

And the third...

Ravi Shankar 92

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-india-20690632?SThisFB

He was quite a sensation in the sixties and seventies what with Monterey, Woodstock and the Beetles.

I really like Norah Jones music.

Seems like every week I am getting an email that someone I flew or worked with over the years is gone. Feel like my youth is going up in smoke. I remember my parents saying the same thing as they got older.

You're going to feel really old when you find out he died seven years ago.

Good catch, I never noticed. Was Micheal having us on?

But no, just the opposite. Turns out I'm seven years younger than I thought I was.

I was away from the TV for awhile and now I'm hearing there were 9 killed not 5. And it includes Kobe's 13 year old daughter. All very sad.

It seems that this crash was simply pilot error. Was he/she pushed or just not willing to abort the flight before it became dangerous?

Special VFR is a mugs game. Did it once for a flight of a whole five or six miles and never wanted to do it again.

It can work to get you going especially since they allowed VFR OTT, but I would never suggest anyone use it unless you are comfortable/qualified tocontinue flying "on the guages".
