Is it wrong that the death of Grumpy touches me more than the death of Tim Conway or Doris Day?   I feel badly about this.

I think "Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever", featuring Aubrey Plaza as the voice of Grumpy, is an underappreciated classic in the Internet Meme Christmas Movie genre. And I think Ms Plaza is obviously the perfect choice to voice Grumpy; she's practically Grumpy Cat in human form. Such a good movie. I almost cried.

Sometimes people take deaths of their respective family pet harder than an actual family member. Pets are very therapeutic to humans.

Maybe not a celebrity for many but a childhood hero of mine died yesterday. Niki Lauda had been sick for some time.
One of the greatest drivers ever, Lauda and his 1976 championship dual with James Hunt was the subject of Ron Howard's movie Rush, one of the best racing films ever. After being severely burned in a crash in the 1976 German GP, he went from being given the last rights to back in a race car in six weeks. Up until his latest illness, Lauda served as a team mentor for the Mercedes team, chiefly, Lewis Hamilton. He also got around to starting three airlines. A legend of the sport and one of a kind.

Thinking about it, not a childhood hero, I was in my late twenties when and early thirties. Anyway, Lauda was a guiding light of the sport and made the greatest sporting comeback of all time.

Dog the Bounty Hunter's wife passed yesterday.  Beth Chapman.

I liked her.  :(

Over the years I have had both a Chrysler and, earlier on, a Mustang. Oh what fun it was as a young fella in the summer time to put the top down and the music up and then stomp on it heading for the beach.
He got to a ripe old age and may he RIP.
