Burt Bacharach RIP ...

You could have told me he died 20 years ago and I would have just nodded.

Richard Belzer was never as pretty as Raquel Welch but now he is dead too. I was always impressed by how quickly he jumped up and went to commercial break after Hulk Hogan knocked him out cold and let him fall on his head.

The one that I felt recently was the death of Gary Rossington, the last original member of Lynyrd Skynyrd.  Rossington was one of several guitarists in the band, and while I'm not sure which notes belong to which musician, I have read that Rossington was the one who played the slide guitar in "Free Bird".

As such he's probably one of the people most responsible for inspiring me to buy a musical instrument and learn to play.  And while I really suck at it, I can at least say that learning to play has increased my appreciation for music.  So thanks for that, Gary.

Barry Humphries AKA Dame Edna and others.
Such a funny guy, he would probably be banned in some red states.

The world is probably a better place today without the likes of Gerry Springer. It probably should’ve happened 30 years ago.
