RIP, Bobby.

You did so much for professional hockey in the 70s, and the Winnipeg Jets would not exist without you.

However, that did not stop a few cuckolds, and woke idiots from Winnipeg, bringing up your domestic incident from the late 70s.

IncidentS, plural.

Quote
In 1987 Hull pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer who tried to intervene in a domestic dispute between the famed skater and his third wife, Deborah. Deborah Hull never pressed charges against her husband.

In 2002, his second wife, Joanne, told an ESPN SportsCentury documentary what Hull had allegedly done to her on a trip to Hawaii in 1966. In it, she said: "He took my shoe — with a steel heel — and proceeded to hit me in the head. I was covered with blood. And I can remember him holding me over the balcony and I thought this is the end, I'm going." Hull was never charged.

"Sure he was a wife beater and allegedly praised Hitler, but look at what he did for hockey in Winnipeg!"

I once had 30 Bobby Hull autographs (probably still do somewhere downstairs). He would always make sure every kid got one as he walked out after a game.

^This is what I am talking about, in a nutshell.

People in Winnipeg and other cities are well aware of Hull's domestic incident(s).  That was 40 years ago.  DO you have any idea how many professional athletes have checkered pasts? I'm not saying it is right, but what is the point of making Hull out to be the Antichrist for bad things he did in the late 70s/early 80s?

As for the Hitler comments, they are relatively tame, compared to what any GOP member or a sizeable portion of the American public thinks about Asians, Mexicans, or Muslims.  Hull did say that "Hitler had some good ideas, but went too far." In comparison to what has been said in the last decade by politicians, that's pretty tame. He certainly is not at the Kanye West level. Or even the Donald Trump level.

Can you people at least....maybe wait for 72 hours, considering his family, friends, and fans are probably mourning him, and shouldn't be viewing a bunch of oddball keyboard warriors making him out to be Joseph Stalin.

Honestly, what kind of sick **** get off with news of an old 84 year old man dying?  It says more about others than it does Hull

---

On that note, the greatest goal scorer of the past 20 years is a Putin apologist, and supports his invasion into Ukraine.  Yet hardly a peep from the media.

Well, you know... there IS a kind of 'revenge of the cradle thing happening these days.

Young people (and by this I mean UNDER 40) have zero reverence for our gods and will gladly tear them down.

John A MacDonald and Eggerton Ryerson are road bumps - why do you think they would give a toss about Bobby Hull, David Bowie or John Lennon ?

Does it matter ?  Maybe.  But not universally and not to them.

So an outfit like ESPN knows this.  I mean, the people who work there are likely interns making minimum wage, the people who actually write this stuff.  So that's what you are going to get.

If this is trolling, very nice. If it's genuine, give your head a shake.

Weird to cry about disrespecting his memory when you brought up his history of beating the crap out of his wives, not me.

I'm not going to waste time linking to all of them but there have been dozens of takes on this in the media.

If this is trolling, very nice. If it's genuine, give your head a shake.

What's the point of calling me a troll, without elaborating on how you consider me a troll?

Enlighten us.

Now I didn't know Bobby Hull, and for all I know maybe he never changed. However, in nearly 40 years, he was free of legal issues.  Woke Dog, if you seriously think Hull should be sent to hell for some insensitive comments to a Moscow newspaper, then you should check yourself into a psychiatric ward.

When Kobe Bryant died in a plane crash in 2020, women came out of the woodwork, and went on about his **** case nearly 20 years earlier.  It was a horrible thing, and IIRC Bryant cut a deal to avoid legal problems by paying the victim off and apologising.  After the incident, he grew as a person, started a family, became a model citizen, and was a great father.

I'm not defending Kobe for what he did, and perhaps he should have been punished with jail time.  However, this "you did something bad 22 years ago, so there will be no forgiveness, and you will burn in hell" mentality does nothing for society.  Ever hear of forgiveness?

Or is your life so miserable that even when an old man dies, you have to **** on him?  It leads me to believe that you are deflecting somewhat.  Maybe there are skeletons in your closet, Woke Dog.  This is one of the problems with the left.  It's always Woke people going after (usually) White males, and have this obsession with "cancelling" them.  You are the kind of person that drives people to the GOP.

I think I may need to put this leash on you, because you are one out of control K-9!

Sh*t bags always call others trolls, as it’s part of their trolling.  I’ve learned recently not to feed the trolls.

Is your name IMAX because the projection here is huge.

You brought up Hull being a wife beater. I pointed out it wasn’t a one off, and you come back with this word vomit? Unhinged behaviour tbh.
